The Pottery

A small business located in the core of Toronto wanted to refresh their site, but more importantly put a bigger spotlight on their online pottery shop. The ask? How can we get it done without breaking the bank. Our goal was to provide The Pottery with the structure and strategic foundation using UX design and Strategy so that they can implement the correct updates to their site. In addition, we built them a custom e-commerce marketing handbook focused on online shop promotions and email marketing.

A better built UX experience

The question asked: “How can we drive more people from our courses to our online shop”?. Our Answer?: “Why not do it right from the start”. Our philosophy for The Pottery was based on better traffic management. Per month The Pottery receives close to 10k visitors, yet, the shop conversion rate was low. The website didn’t need a facelift, but more importantly, a site built with better traffic control. Based on previous user analytics, we understood that visitor drop off happened after 1.5 page visits. So we needed to capitalize on it.

Custom consultation handbook

For The Pottery, increasing online traffic was not a problem. Their main goal was to increase online shop sales without taking away from the core business which is selling pottery lessons and workshops. The handbook was created with the simple intent of implementing promotional marketing tactics, targeting new and returning visitors, in addition to direct email marketing to previous customers.

Owner

"I can’t recommend the team at Wanderland enough. They were wonderful to work with. They made difficult concepts easy to understand. They were thorough in determining my needs and went out of their way to ensure the job was done well. For a very reasonable price they have engineered a complete updating of my website marketing and have left me with the tools to monitor myself."
